An Alternate Costume (also called Special Costume) is a special costume that a playable character can wear in the games. The use of Alternate Costumes was first introduced in Nicktoons Unite! and was later used again in the sequels excluding Nicktoons: Globs of Doom. Alternate Costumes were also used in Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion .
Nicktoons: Unite[]
In Nicktoons Unite! you can unlock alternate costumes by having a save file for either SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!, Barnyard, or Tak: The Great Juju Challenge in your memory card, PS2 Only.
Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island[]
In Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island you can unlock alternate costumes by collecting a certain amount of treasure. When you have collected enough of that said treasure you can unlock the characters's costume.
Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots[]
In Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots you can unlock alternate costumes by buying them with the collectables in the game. The starter characters's costumes cost less gears than the ones of the character who you have to unlock or join the party later in the game.
Ultimate Nickelodeon Brawl Stars X[]
In Ultimate Nickelodeon Brawl Stars X there are two kind of special costumes. The first one is simply the alternate costume which you have to buy at Tenzin's shop with Tenzin Token's that you can earn in the game. The other special costume is a Halloween Costume (characters are categorized on show, which in turn are categorized on date of premiere).
